Both of these recipes are completely customizable by adding your favorite essential oil.
Body Lotion Recipe #1:
- 1/4 cup coconut oil (replace with she or cocoa butter to get a butter texture)
- 1/2 cup almond or olive oil
- 1/4 beeswax
- Options: 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil, 2 tablespoons shea or cocoa butter, essential oils, vanilla extract or other natural extracts.
Combine all of the ingredients into a large glass jar. Fill a saucepan with about an inch of water, warm over medium heat. Place a lid on the jar and put it in the water, this will cause the ingredients to melt together. While melting, shake or stir the ingredients occasionally to make sure everything mixes together equally. Once all ingredients are melted, you can transfer them into the container you’ll store the lotion in.
